At the end of the school day, all children are taken to the playground by their form teachers or a substitute.

Supervised care is available between 3.40 and 4.00 p.m. on the playground, during which period children may be collected by their parents.

Children with siblings at Swallows can be taken to this campus by minibus so that parents only have to collect children from one site. However, this service must be booked in advance or before 3.00pm on the day via the online booking system found on the school website, and is only available at 3.45pm.  If booking in advance the minibus must be rebooked every term.

Between 4.00 and 5.00 p.m. there are a variety of after school activities.  If children would like to take part in these, parents will need to apply in advance for their children to join and children should not be taken earlier than the official end of the session.  No charge is made for school activities provided by King Henry VIII staff.  Activities provided by external providers (for clubs such as Karate) are chargeable.  The activities for which there will be charges are made clear in the clubs and activities information given at the start of each term.

Between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. there will be after-school care for children who have not signed up for a supervised activity where they will have the opportunity to be supported with their homework if required. An hourly charge will apply for after-care from 4pm onwards from September 2018.
